The TCSCS0J227MCAR is designed as one kind of the SCS series solid tantalum chip capacitors. Tantalum capacitors are designed with excellent performance characteristics for filtering, by-passing, coupling, blocking, and R.C tunning circuits. They are used extensively in industrial, commercial, entertainment and medical electronic equipment. They exhibit the proven characteristics of wide temperature range and longterm stability. The advantages of tantalum electrolytic capacitors consist of their chemical stability, the low thickness and high dielectric constant of the tantalum oxide layer, and the capability of sintering anodes with a very large surface from tantalum powder.
It has five features. (1)Molded case available in five case codes. (2)Extended rang values. (3)Compatible with automatic pick and place equipment. (4)Meets or exceeds EIA standard 535BAAC. (5)New low profile case size. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its case size would be C. (2)Its capacitance would be 220uF. (3)Its DC leakage at +25°C would have the maximum value of 13.9uA. (4)Its DF at +25°C would have the maximum value of 8%. (5)Its Z at 25°C max would be 0.7ohms. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)operating temperature range would be from -55°C to 85°C (to 125°C with voltage derating). (2)Its capacitance range would be from 0.47uF to 220uF. (3)Capacitance tolerance would be +/-20%. (4)Its operating voltage would be from 4WVDC to 35WVDC. (5)Compliant terminations 90/10 SnPb finish.
