DescriptionThe TMBYV10-40FILM is one member of the TMBYV10 family which is designed as the small signal schottky diode that has integrated protection against excessive voltage such as electrostatic discharges. The absolute maximum ratings of the TMBYV10-40FILM can be summarized as:(1)Repetitive Peak Reverse Voltage:40 V;(2)Average Forward Current:1 A;(3)Surge non Repetitive Forward Current:25 A;(4)Storage and Junction Temperature Range:-65 to + 150;(5)Maximum Temperature for Soldering during 15s:260 °C.
Nevertheless, when the device switches from forward biased condition to reverse blocking state, current is required to charge the depletion capacitance of the diode. This current depends only of diode capacitance and external circuit impedance. Satisfactory circuit behaviour analysis may be performed assuming that Schottky rectifier consists of an ideal diode in parallel with a variable capacitance equal to the junction capacitance.
