Description

The MICROWIRE™ Interface Device MID gives a general microprocessor (such as National Series 32000® processors, Intel 80C188, 80C86 or 80286, Motorola 6800 and 68000 family of processors) the ability to communicate efficiently with up to eight peripheral devices via the serial MICROWIRE interface. The MID causes each of the peripheral devices to appear to the µP as memory mapped locations, by performing all the data serialization and transfer protocols to and from the peripherals.

Note of MICROWIRE: The Early Failure Rates (EFR) were calculated as point estimate PPM based on rejects and sample size for EFR. The Long Term Failure Rates were calculated at 60% confidence using the Arrhenius equation at 0.7eV activation energy and derating the assumed stress temperature of 150°C to an application temperature of 55°C.
