XR-2247

The XR-2247 is a write amplifier designed to provide the complete interface between write data signals and tunnel-erase magnetic heads. It is available in a 2-Pin DIP, operates from a single power supply and provides TTL compatible inputs. There are some features as follows. First is fully programmabe write and erase currents. The second is fully programmable erase turn-on/turn-off times. Then is internal head switching for dual head drives. Next is single supply operation. The fifth is inner track write current compensation. The sixth is inhibit input. The seventh is TTL compatible inputs. The last one is low external parts count.

What comes next is the absolute maximum ratings of XR-2247. The power supply voltage (pin 1) is 16 Vdc. The input voltage (all digital inputs) is from -0.2 to +16 V. The following is the electrical characteristics of XR-2247 (test conditions:Ta=25, VCC=12 V, Rref=10 k, unless otherwise specified). The typical ICC (power supply current) is 13 mA and the maximum is 20 mA at VCC=9 to 16 V.  The minimum VCC (power supply range) is 9 V, the typical is 12 V and the maximum is 16 V at VCC=9 to 16 V. The minimum VIH (high level voltage) is 2.0 V and the maximum VIH (low level voltage) is 0.8 V.
