YAC516

The YAC516 is designed as one kind of delta sigma D/A converter with 8 times over-sampling filter, designed for use with YAMAHA sound generator chips. Because of the built-in post filter and output buffer, high quality sound system can be designed with a small number of components. In addition, 3.3 V operation and power down mode make the YAC516 most suitable for the sound system of green PC and notebook PC.

Features of the YAC516 are:(1)1-bit delta sigma DAC;(2)sampling rate ranging from 10 kHz to 50 kHz;(3)on chip 8 times over-sampling filter: passband - 20 kHz, passband ripple: +/-0.02 dB and stopband attenuation: 57 dB;(4)on chip post filter;(5)on chip output buffer;(6)on chip post filter;(7)high tolerance to clock jitter;(8)THD+N: -86 dB;(9)dynamic range: 92 dB;(10)wide voltage operation: 3 V to 5.25 V;(11)low power dissipation: 75 mW at 5 V.

The absolute maximum ratings of YAC516 can be summarized as:(1)power supplies analog (AVDD pin): -0.3 V to +6.0 V;(2)power supplies digital (DVDD pin): -0.3 V to AVDD+0.3 V;(3)input current, any pin except supplies: +/- 10 mA;(4)input voltage: -0.3 V to AVDD+0.3 V;(5)ambient operating temperature: 0 to 70 ;(6)storage temperature: -55 to +125 .
