YGV603 is a kind of Advanced Monochrome Display Controller (AMDC).There are some features of YGV603 as follows.First, compatibility with MDA, HGC, and CGA is provided at the register level.Secondly, a 132 Column Mode is supported among the MDA expansion modes.Besides, all MC6845 functions are built in (except for R8).Furthermore, a 5-level gray-scale display is possible with a monochrome monitor.The fifth one is that only a DRAM can be used for the VRAM.The sixth one is the light pen interface is built in.The seventh one is a smooth-scroll function is provided (only in 132 Column Mode).The eighth one is a font ROM for the MDA is built in (external fonts can also be connected).The ninth one is a 16 MHz and 25 MHz crystal generator circuit is built in.The last one is CMOS, 5 V single power supply, 100-pin QFP.
