The V78XX-1000 series of switching regulators are designed to replace 78XX linear regulators, with the objective of drop-in r eplacement without the need for a heatsink, because the V78XX series features high efficiency under all line onditions. Built-in short-circuit and over-temperature protections ensure very rugged operations. Additionally, low ripple and oiseperformance make the parts useful in a wide range of applications.
