Advantech Introduced DIN-rail PCs

Recently, the Industrial Automation Group of Advantech announced two new Intel Atom-based DIN-rail controller platforms, the UNO-1170A and UNO-1170AE. Intel Atom N270 processor uses 1G DDR2 RAM with fanless design, compact size, energy efficient power consumption, and wide temperature operating range of -10 to 60°C, the UNO-1170A and UNO-1170AE offer high computing power.

They feature a built-in 512KB SRAM battery back-up system to secure important data against unexpected shut down. With 2 x Ethernet ports, 3 x serial ports (2 x RS-232 ports and 1 x RS-232/422/485 port), 3 x external USB 2.0 ports, 2.5” SATA bay, and 1 x internal secure USB port, they support versatile peripherals such as USB encryption dongle key. Their front-accessibility and DIN-rail design enable convenient wiring and easy installation.

They also support many operating systems and software applications such as Microsoft Windows WES 2009, Windows XP Embedded, WinCE 5.0/6.0, embedded Linux, and the latest Windows Embedded Standard 7P.

UNO-1170A and UNO-1170AE are ideal options for many applications uses such as, communication protocol converting, SCADA RTU, warehouse and environment monitoring.
