This circuit uses an HA-2600 wideband op amp with very high input impedance and low output impedance. The load capacitor is recommended to prevent high-frequency oscillations (possibly from external wiring). Capacitor values up to 100 pF have little effect on bandwidth or glow rate. Figure 3-29B shows an offset adjustment (if required).
