    The picture shows the metal detector circuit. The detecting coil constitutes LC oscillating circuit. When the coil approaches the metal, the metal will have vortex inside which will make coil have varied inductance and the oscillating frequency of detector circuit will be changed accordingly. Figure (a) is the detector's functional block diagram. Figure (b) is the detecting circuit.
