Simpie low-cost clock uses two inverters in LC circuit. G1 operates as Colpitts oscillator, with C1 setting feed-back Ievel and L1-C2 setting frequency. Low DC resistance path through R1, R2, and L1 provides high negative DC feedback around G1 and biases it into Iinear region. G2 squares output of G1 to appropriate TTL levels.
