Broadband amplifier operating from 12-V supply uses Motorola MRF433 power transistors for class AB operation and MHW591 as predriver. For class A operation, power transistors should be MRF426. Q2 does not require heatsink because its peak dissipation is under 1 W. Power gain is 55 dB well beyond four-octave band of amplifier, and input VSWR is under 1.2.-H. 0.
