This voltage-tuned JFET Hartley oscillator can be made to sweep its entire frequency range by applying a sawtooth waveform that rises from 0 to 12 V to the Vt input. In this circuit, a varactor is used for the tuning element instead of an air-core inductor. The frequency range is around 5 MHz.
