LM1871

The LM1871 is designed as a complete six-channel digital proportional encoder and RF transmitter intended for use as a low power, non-voice, unlicensed communication device at carrier frequencies of 27MHz or 49MHz with a field strength of 10000uV/meter at 3 meters.

LM1871 has eight features. The first one is it would have low current 9V battery operation. The second one is on-chip RF oscillator / transmitter. The third one is one timing capacitor for six proportional channels. The fourth one is programmable number of channels. The fifth one is regulated RF output power. The sixth one is external modulator bandwidth control. The seventh one is on-chip 4.6V regulator. The eighth one is up to 80MHz carrier frequency operation. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of LM1871 have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its supply voltage which would be 16V. The second one is about its DC current out of pin 4 which would be 10mA. The third one is about its DC current out of pin 13 which would be 25mA. The fourth one is about its package dissipation which would be 1600mW. The fifth one is about its pin 4 externally forced which would be 6V. The sixth one is about its operating temperature range which would be from -25°C to +85°C. The seventh one is about its storage temperature range which would be from -65°C to +150°C. The eighth one is about its lead temperature (soldering, 10 sec) which would be 260°C.

Also some electrical characteristics about LM1871. The first one is about its supply voltage which would be min 4.5V and typ 9V and max 15V. The second one is about its supply current which would be min 10mA and typ 14mA and max 22mA. The third one is about its reference voltage which would be min 4.1V and typ 4.8V and max 5.4V.
