The MC100LVELT23D is designed as a dual differential LVPECL/LVDS to LVTTL translator. Because LVPECL (Positive ECL) or LVDS levels are used only +3.3 V and ground are required. The small outline 8-lead package and the dual gate design of the LVELT23 makes it ideal for applications which require the translation of a clock and a data signal.
It has eight features. (1)2.0ns typical propagation delay. (2)Maximum frequency is larger than 180MHz. (3)Differential LVPECL inputs. (4)PECL mode operating range: Vcc=3.0V to 3.8V with GND=0V. (5)24mA LVTTL outputs. (6)Flow through pinouts. (7)Internal pulldown and pullup resistors. (8)Pb-free package is available. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its PECL power supply would be 3.8V. (2)Its input voltage would be 3.8V. (3)Its output current would be 50mA for continuous and would be 100mA for surge. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (6)Its thermal resistance junction to ambient would be 190°C/W for 0 Ifpm and would be 130°C/W for 500 Ifpm. (7)Its thermal resistance junction to case would be 41 to 44 +/-5% °C/W. (8)Its solder temperature would be 265°C for 2 to 3 seconds. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its power supply current high would be min 10mA and typ 18mA and max 25mA. (2)Its power supply current low would be min 15mA and typ 26mA and max 36mA. (3)Its input high voltage would be min 2135mV and max 2420mV. (4)Its input low voltage would be min 1490mV and max 1825mV.
