The SI9140CY-T1 is one member of the SI9140CY family which is designed as the high-performance, surface-mount switchmode controller. Features of the SI9140CY-T1 are:(1)adjustable, high precision output voltage;(2)high efficiency synchronous switching;(3)full set of protection circuitry;(4)high frequency operation (>1 MHz);(5)2000-V ESD rating (Si9140CQ/DQ);(6)runs on 3.3- or 5-V supplies. This device has an input voltage range of 3 to 6.5 V to simplify power supply designs in desktop PCs and while improving the overall efficiency in new"green" systems, it is designed to meet the stringent regulation requirements of new and future high-frequency microprocessors. The SI9140CY-T1 has two types of controllers, voltage mode or current mode.
