AutoSmart? Power Amplifier Module for WCDMA

The SKY77173 AutoSmart? PAM is developed for WCDMA handsets. AutoSmartTM power amplifier technology internally adjusts RF transistor bias level throughout the operating range minimizing battery current and ensuring linear performance to meet WCDMA system requirements, yielding savings in average battery current without a system-supplied mode function signal or analog bias control. AutoSmart? response time of SKY77173 is more than adequate for RF access probe and discontinuous transmission operation. The single GaAs MMIC contains all active circuitry in the module including on-board bias circuitry, and input and interstage matching circuits. Output match into a 50-ohm load  of SKY77173 is realized off-chip within the module package to optimize efficiency and power performance. See Product Summary below for more details.
