iPAC PAM Quad-Band GSM/GPRS GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900

SKY77318 is designed for quad-band cellular GSM850/900, DCS1800, and PCS1900 handset applications and GPRS multi-slot operation.The module consists of separate GSM PA and DCS/PCS PA blocks, a PAC block, and matched input/output ports. A custom BiCMOS IC SKY77318 provides the internal PAC function and interface circuitry. The GaAs and Si dies, and the passive components are mounted on a multi-layer laminate substrate and encapsulated with plastic overmold. Switching circuitry selects GSM or DCS/PCS as determined from the BS signal. The VBATT pin of SKY77318 connects to an internal current-sense resistor and interfaces to an iPAC? function, which is insensitive to variations in temperature, power supply, process, and input power.
