AIC1721/D General Description
AIC1721/1721D is a 150mA/300mA low dropout linear regulator. The superior characteristics of the AIC1721/1721D include zero-base current loss, very low dropout voltage, and 1% accuracy output voltage. Typical ground current remains approximately at 55uA, when loading ranges from zero to maximum. When output current is 100mA, in comparison with bipolar counterpart, dropout voltage of AIC1721/1721D is substantially lower (130mV for the AIC1721-50/1721D-50, and 180mV for the AIC1721-33/1721D-33). Built-in output current limiting and thermal limiting provide maximal protection to the AIC1721/1721D against fault conditions.
The AIC1721 and AIC1721D are available with popular SOT-89 and TO-92 packages.
