California Eastern Labs [CEL]

California Eastern Laboratories (CEL) is the exclusive sales and marketing partner for products made by the Compound Semiconductor Devices Division (CSDD) of NEC Electronics Corporation. CEL is headquatered in the heart of Silicon Valley-Santa Clara, California. In addition to the engineering design and development center at Santa Clara site, CEL also operates a design center in Illinois' high-tech region. CEL has established a global strong and complete sales network with sales offices and distributors all over the world. CEL has established long term cooperation relationship with distributors such as Arrow Electronics, Avnet-Israel, Digi-Key Corporation, Future Electronics, Mouser Electronics, Nu Horizons, etc.

CEL is engaging in RF and wireless RFICs and discrete devices, lasers and detectors for fiber optics, optocouplers, and solid state relays. NEC RF and microwave RFIC and discrete transistor devices available in industry standard and miniaturized packages, serve virtually all current wireless applications. Besides, the fiber optic devices from Compound Semiconductor Device Division (CSDD) support applications across today's fiber optics communications systems including Long Haul, Metro, Fiber to the Home and HFC and provide building blocks for test and measurement equipment. They include Fabry-Perot, DFB, and tunable lasers, plus PIN and APD detectors that utilize CSDD's core strengths: AlGaInAs buried heterostructure laser die, AlInAs APD, and WAVE technology for precise grating formation.

In addition, NEC Electronics offers a broad range of optocouplers and solid state relays with industry-leading performance and reliability. These series of products provide isolation and switching functions for various applications including power supply, motor control, data communications interface circuit, automated test equipment and telecommunication equipment. Furthermore, CEL has a broad line of 802.15.4/ZigBee solutions including ICs, modules, and software application packages. They are designed for use in mesh, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint systems.
