In 2006, April, Linear Technology launches first European design center in Munich. Then in May, Linear Technology opened new design center in Dallas and bought back 5.7 million shares of its common stock for $202 million. Besides, Linear Technology Receives U.S. Attorney's Office Subpoena Requesting Documents Regarding the Company's Stock Option Practices. In 2007, Linear Technology announces proposed private placement of $1.7 billion of convertible senior notes and $3 billion accelerated sock repurchase transaction. What’s more, Linear Technology priced $1.7 billion of convertible senior notes. On the other hand, Linear Technology Corporation announces that SEC has terminated its inquiry regarding historical stock option grant practices.
