International Rectifier (IR) is the manufacturer of advanced digital, analog and mixed-signal ICs to advanced circuit devices, power systems and components and so on. What’s more, it is also the world leader in power management technology. Many other leading manufacturers of computers, appliances, automobiles, consumer electronics and defense systems rely on IR technology to drive the performance and efficiency of their products.

In 1947 August, International Rectifier was founded in Los Angeles. IR was not only one of the first companies to commercialize Germanium rectifiers in 1954, but also the first to introduce commercial zener diodes and solar cells in 1958. IR is a global manufacturer with major ISO-9001-certified wafer fabrication and assembly facilities located in Newport, Wales; Santa Clara, CA; El Segundo, CA; Leominster, MA; Temecula, CA; Mesa, AZ; and Tijuana, MX.

The main products of IR are high performance analog, digital and mixed-signal ICs; advanced circuit devices; power systems and components. IR's focused markets are aerospace and defense automotive; class D audio; computing and communications; lighting; motion control and plasma and display.
