OTAX Corporation [OTAX]

OTAX Corporation was established in 1974. The Electronics Engineering Department was established in 1988 to apply its technological developments in the field of switches to other fields, leading the company into the developments of new products from sensors for medical equipment to systematized electronic equipment. OTAX acquired ISO9001 certification in 1995 and ISO14001 certification in 2001, OTAX Corporation continues its high-quality and high-standard product development and production under a thorough system of quality controls.

Starting with medical non-blood-collecting type blood sensors, OTAX is conducting research and development in blood analyzing systems, in-house nursing systems, control systems for senile dementia patients, electronic switches for nursing homes, automatic surveillance systems for houses, and many other applications. The company developed the industry's first 1.27mm half-pitch DIP switch, which has only a half pitch between the terminals of conventional switches. This is now the leading lightweight, thin, short and compact product in the industry.

The main products of OTAX are dip switches, miniature switches (toggle, push, rotary, slide), power switches (toggle, push, rotary, slide, trigger), sensors, connectors, ic cards and terminal blocks. In 2000 OTAX established OTAX ELECTRONICS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. Then in 2001, OTAX acquired ISO14001 at Yokohama Head Office and OTAX ELECTRONICS (SHENZHEN) CO., LTD.
