SHMC was established in 1992. SamHop Corp. is specialized in IC/MOS design, testing and marketing. Its teams include the professionals of product planning, IC design, MOSFETs design, Wafer process, Testing and Sale. In 1992, Samhop Microelectronics Corp founded with an initial capital of NT$5M. Then in 1994, it’s headquarter moved to Jianguo Rd and acquired Taipei county Certificate of Business Registration.
In 1997, SHMC purchased an office building in Min-Chuan Road, Hsintien, Taipei Hsien The next year, SHMC established Layout Department. In 2001, SHMC established MOSFET Department, the first company with IC and MOSFET design ability in Taiwan. The process of IC design have upgraded from Logic 0.8μm and Mixed Mode 0.5μm to HV-CMOS 0.5μm and Bi-CMOS/CD-MOS 0.6 μm, which raise the function and reliability of IC, while the process of MOSFETs design has upgraded from Planar to 280M/Cell Trench MOSFETs Technology, which raise the efficiency and reduce the cost of MOSFETs.
